Community Poppy Project
During 2017 and 2018 Arts Council asked our community to hand make poppies to fill the Anzac memorial rotunda at Anzac Park Gulgong. We had an overwhelming response and we were delighted with the outcome of both the 2017and 2018 Community Poppy Projects. The garden around the Rotunda in Anzac Park looked amazing with hand-crafted red and white poppies.

Congratulations Gulgong RSL Sub-Branch, dignitaries and Andrew Gee with the installation and unveiling of our new memorial (a scaled replica of The Armistice Memorial, France) to commemorate 100 years since the guns fell silent in 1918. LEST WE FORGET!

Special thanks to Gulgong Public School kindergarten students and teachers - Miss Tant and Miss Manton - for the beautifully crafted white poppies; Isabella and Oliver Hughes from Parkes; Eileen Farr from Redbank Qld; and an unknown generous lady for her red poppies from Deniliquin NSW. Another special thanks to Sue, Kay, Cecily, Lance and Lorraine for your generous help to display over 1300 poppies prior to the ceremony.
